Overview 1: The World at Night time audiobook by Darwin8u

A stable Furst novel, simply not a fantastic one

Furst’s fourth Night time Troopers’ novel switches narrators to Jean Casson, a French film producer. He’s a reluctant hero who’s drawn into the key warfare in opposition to the Nazi occupiers of France.

With ‘The World at Night time’, Furst is ready to once more relate the best way WWII impacted typical Europeans in ways in which most fiction and nonfiction writers who deal with Europe’s second world warfare appear to usually miss or overlook.

A stable Furst novel, simply not a fantastic one. However take that with a grain of salt. Minor Furst novels (like le Carre) are sometimes miles higher than 9/10 of the historic spy fiction on the market

Overview 2: The World at Night time audiobook by Keith

Sensible story. Horrible ending!

Any further feedback?

Alan Furst is good placing the listener into this period and actually bringing Paris alive and making you are feeling like you might be in Paris. What a beautiful e book however what a horrible ending. Did Furst all of a sudden have a bus to catch? It made no sense but the remainder of the e book made good sense. I’ll give Furst the advantage of the doubt and maybe the writer made him change the ending!
George Guidall is but once more wonderful as a result of if I hadn’t been listening to him inform the story I’d have by no means completed this e book if I had been studying it.

Pleasant !!!!

No author can -like Alan Furst- describe the distinctive ambiance of France through the second world warfare and create characters which might be complicated, credible and interesting. This e book is greater than only a spy story: is concerning the second world warfare, about Paris , about journey with a zest of romantics . The plot itself is just not significantly shocking nor breathless, however the pleasure of studying is undamaged until the very finish.
Geoge Guidall does a wonderful job (and his French fairly good)
